Las Vegas, Nevada (derailedonline.com) - 2:30 am in the morning, finally get into the hotel room. Flight out to Las Vegas was full of Interbike attendees. On the way out I find out the first day of dirt demo gets delayed cause an accident on the interstate that leads to Bootleg Canyon. It took one and a half hours for emergency crews to clean up the accident so many Interbike attendees spent a good part of the day sitting in busses on the way out to Bootleg.
Tomorrow we venture out to the dirt demo and hope for not traffic delays. This is one problem with Interbike and also why you are starting to see a decreased participation in the dirt demo. The distance between the two events is too far for it to be productive for manufacturers. Bootleg Canyon is a great place to have a bike demo but the distance from the convention center isn't very conducive.
