ATLANTA, GA (derailedonline.com) - Round two of the SoFA MiniDH series finished up Sunday July 15, 2007. Attendance was slightly up since last race and a considerable more number of spectators for this race.
Sunny skies prevailed Sunday but the humidity was intense, like racing in the rain forest. This race attracted some competitors from Asheville, NC as well as the previous racers from Alabama, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Trail conditions where better than last race which showed in the results with times improving.
Without the southeast fast boy Chris Herdnon in attendance, it was a clear shot for Tennessee resident Doug Ferguson to walk away with the open/pro win and a substantial increase in points to put him in the number one slot on the points race. Chad Oliver repeated his same results from last race and secured himself a very large points lead. Top three for the amateur class remained the same from the first race.
