Plattekill First Junior Camp
ROXBURY, NY (derailedonline.com) - Plattekill Mountain held their first three-day junior camp for boys and girls ages 8-14 last weekend. In order to introduce new riders to mountain biking and increase ridership at the resort Plattekill has developed weekend long camps geared for different levels and types of riders.
These camps will help ease people's concerns and get riders feeling confident on a mountain bike on true off road trails.There will be a MTB101 camp for entry level riders, a womens clinic geared specifically towards the female rider and a junior camp for boys and girls ages 8-14.All facets of mountain biking from bike set up, maintenance,braking, shifting,trailriding etc. will be taught. For experienced riders and racers there will also be a Shaums Mad March Racing camp in August for those who wish to take their riding and racing skills to a whole new level.
