Gravity East Series Final Course Report

ROXBURY, N.Y. ( - Derailed is on location at the Gravity East Series Finals. Today was a wet day at Plattekill with mist/rain all day and a constant fog, giving you the gorillas in the mist feel that you are accoustom to at other venues. Six weeks of no rain and in the last week Plattekill has recieved 2 inches of rain.

Shaums March and I got to ride the courses today via private shuttle to the top (see below). The shuttle runs themselves were some of the most unusual I have ever had using the ATV. Riding both the pro/expert and sport/beginer courses the rain has not had a major impact on the trail and mud was at a minimum except for a few small areas of trail. Both courses are going to offer a great challenge to all of those coming to compete in the Gravity East Series finals.

Tomorrow the lifts open up to practice all day Friday. Shaums will be giving clinics in the morning and in the afternoon on the GES race course. Slight chance of rain in the morning with clearing sky in the afternoon should be good for a great day of riding. Forecast for the weekend is looking better with Sunny skies on Sunday's finals and partly cloudy skies for Saturday's DS race.
