Massanutten Introduces Open Class
McGAHEYSVILLE, VA (derailedonline.com) - Massanutten introduces a new class to their Downhill race, the YEE-HA. As an outcry from racers, Massanutten has introduced a new class that will allow people to race without purchasing a yearly USAC license - only a one day USAC license. However, unlike sport or beginner classes, the competition will be at a much higher level.
This open class is for sheer fun and bragging rights. There will be no money awarded, no USAC points, no USAC qualifier for nationals, no Virginia State Championship title, and no GES points. But you will get a medal and stand on the podium if you win, plus the added bonus of being able to ride, practice, and race.
