LAKE FOREST, Illinois (derailedonline.com) - Tenneco has begun the process of taking over the Italian suspension manufacturer Marzocchi. Tenneco Inc. is a US$6.2 billion global manufacturing company headquartered in the US. They make popular brands such as Monroe and Rancho shocks, plus many other car accessories and parts. They are one of the worlds largest producers of emission control equipment and ride control products with over 21,000 employees world wide.
This acquisition would be made through Tenneco’s assumption of the debt associated with Marzocchi’s suspension business, which was approximately US$ 15 million as of April 30, 2008.
A final agreement and closing on a potential purchase of Gruppo Marzocchi’s suspension business is dependent on a number of conditions and the legally-required consultation with the works councils representing Marzocchi employees.
