ROXBURY, New York (derailedonline.com) - The Plattekill Mountain Crew spent the weekend plowing and shoveling the "Last Chance for Glory" Race course. You've probably heard, Plattekill Mountain received more than 2 FEET of snow last week, so we plowed the course with snow cats starting down from the double chair, following the sunniest route to the four cross course and the wall ride. One course for all, super fun and very fast. Beginners, sports and experts, here's your chance to compare your time against the best pros in the east. The Last Chance for Glory is just that, it's the last USAC Downhill Race in 2008 on the East Coast and Your last chance to show what you got!!
Racers bring your best game as Double Points will be awarded. The series final race will decide the prestigious Plattekill Extreme Championship which is also the USAC New York State Championship. Race and Season Championships will be awarded following the race. Camping for the hearty will be available as usual.
This will be the last weekend of mountain bike operations for Plattekill Mountain in 2008. The winter ski and snowboard operations will start December 6th.
