DANIELSVILLE, Pennsylvania (derailedonline.com) - Another mountain comes to the plate for 2009. Blue Mountain introduces their 2009 race series called Vertical Earth Gravity Series. One of their race series dates also happens to be apart of the Gravity East Series. This series offers three distinct gravity events at each race: DH, SuperD, and Slalom

"The Vertical Earth Gravity Series 2009 presented by Vertical Earth at Blue Mountain Ski Resort in Danielsville, PA. Eastern Pennsylvannia is back on the map with lift service mountain biking. Blue Mountain offers 1000 feet in vertical drop accessed by a high speed detachable quad with padded seats! Vertical Earth will start building trails in April when the winter operation shuts down. There are 3 event dates scheduled at the mountain to host 3 USAC sanctioned disciplines of Gravity Racing. The first event will be May 30-31 "The Blue Mountain Cup" sponsored by Specialized, Troy Lee Designs, Profile Racing, Hayes, Gamut, Azonic, etc. DH / DS / SUPER D will make up the Blue Mountain Cup. Look for details on the website!! $1000 minimum cash purse for PRO's 50/50 Payout. Vertical Earth will offer a Super D trail sponsored by PMBA, 2 DH trails, and a PA style DS course that promises to be sick! Last but not least, all info is available on the website!!
