CANBERRA, Australia (derailedonline.com) - Congratulations to Britian's Steve Peat for his well earned victory at Worlds. On the heals of Steve Peat by a mere fraction of a second was Greg Minnaar from South Africa. Third and fourth was split also but just a fraction of a second with Michael Hannah (AUS) and Fabien Barrel (FRA), respectively. Sam Hill (AUS) rounded off the top five for the podium.
The USA wasn't too far from the top with a couple names appearing in the top twenty. Cody Warren for the US came in 13th for the weekend. Kyle Straight grabbed 15th. Brian Lopes took 18th.

For the women it was Emmeline Ragot (FRA) that took home the honors of being World Champion with a large margin over second place. Another Brit, Tracy Moseley grabbed second behind Ragot by almost three seconds. Standing on the podium in third once the Australian dust settled was Kathi Pruitt from the USA. Fionn Griffiths (GBR) and Floriane Pugin (FRA) completed the podium for the Elite Women.
