Belle Mountain Dual Slalom Race and Festival

TRENTON, New Jersey (derailedonline.com) - Life has been breathed back into an abandoned ski area in New Jersey. Last skied in 1997, Belle Mountain in Mercer County New Jersey is now host to an emerging bike park. The park is being designed and built by Jim Dellavalle upon commission from the county to create a bike park at Belle Mountain.

Dellavalle has put in countless hours building and constructing the various features that will make up the bike park. Volunteer hours and equipment donations have helped to move the project along quickly within the last month.

On October 31, the Mercer Mountain Bike Festival will be held to christen the newly constructed bike riding areas. This event will include many events with the main event being a dual slalom race held on the slalom course recently built at the mountain.

Other events during the day include skill clinics, beginner rides, pump track fun, and more. Jeff Lenosky will be hosting and performing trails and street exhibitions during the day. The event is sponsored by Knapps Cyclery, Mercer County, MMR Clinics, JORBA, 94.5 PST, and Gregs Landscaping.
