Giove Faces 40yrs Incarcaration After Confession
ALBANY, New York (derailedonline.com) - Ex-mountain bike champ Missy Giove faces up to 40 years in prison following her confession to possession of illegal drugs with the intent to distribute. This week in the US federal court in Albany, NY, the judge heard Missy's confession of trafficking drugs from California to the New York state area. Additional confessions included information that she had been doing this since 2006.
As reported by the TimesUnion.com, Missy was, along with a co-conspirator, the leader in this small drug ring that delivered drugs from other parts of the country to the upper New York state area. Currently out on bail, Missy now awaits judgment on sentencing.
Missy was once proclaimed as the fastest women mountain biker in the world. Her antics and style made her famous from wearing a dead piranha around her neck to wearing flashy clothes on the race course. She also was well known for pushing the limit and attempting feats on the race course most men wouldn't even think of at the time.
