MARIBOR, Slovenia (derailedonline.com) - The first world cup of this season finished through the worst conditions. The conditions at Maribor would remind people in the USA of the 2009 Gravity East Series as a whole: wet, cold, muddy, and race of survival.
Greg Minaar (RSA - Santa Cruz Syndicate) pulled off one of the most spectacular wins of his career in conditions he usually does not excel at normally. The race was a survival race, staying on course was the battle for all competitors.
Aaron Gwin (USA - Yeti) continues to break into the top 10. We wait to see a podium from him this year, this as his second season on the circuit.
