GES #2 Seven Springs June 12-13
MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (derailedonline.com) - The stars of the newly-renamed Gravity East Series presented by Voncooper.com western Pennsylvania’s Seven Springs Mountain Resort this weekend for round #2 of America’s largest downhill racing series. In the pro divisions, Morewood USA’s Gerritt Beytagh and Dawn Bourgue (Chainline Cycles/Roc) hope to keep rolling following their wins at the season opener at Massanutten. Joining the pros will be 13 classes of amateurs competing on a highly-rated course that’s largely unchanged since last season. “It’s an excellent track at Seven Springs, with an exceptional staff,” says Gravity East’s Director, Dan McDonald. “That’s why we decided not to mess with an already fast and challenging track for the second round of Gravity East presented by Voncooper.com.”
The racing weekend will kick-off at 10:00 Saturday morning with official practice, followed by race runs for all classes starting at 11:15 am Sunday morning. Seven Springs Resort will also be open for public freeriding and course inspection this Friday, with lift service available for $29.95 from 10:00 am through 5:00 pm. Also this weekend, the coaches of Mad March Racing offer the year’s first Gravity East downhill clinic. Registration for both the clinic and the race are available at www.BikeReg.com.
