Pro Results Wheels of Speed
WILLINGEN, Germany (derailedonline.com) - Great weekend for American DH star Aaron Gwin (Yeti) with a win at The Wheels of Speed Mountain bike festival in Willingen, Germany. Gwin also set the track record (1:50.06) besting the previous track record by over a second, set by Gee Atherton (GBR - Commencal) in last years event.
Second place was South African Greg Minnaar (Santa Cruz) followed by fellow countryman Andrew Neethling (Trek World Racing) in third place.
The fastest women of the day was Rachel Atherton (GBR - Commencal). Clair Buchar (ChainReactionCycles / Intense) from Canada took second place. German Antje Kramer (Giant / SRAM / O 'Neal) took third place.
