Windham WC Finals Track Construction

WINDHAM, New York (derailedonline.com) - We have some exclusive sneak peaks at the track construction going on this week at Windham Mountain in New York. The people at Windham are extremely busy and hard at work building the new tracks for the UCI World Cup finals that will take place at Windham August 26-29 2010.

Just landed this week is the famous track designer Phil Saxena from the UK. He is there this week overseeing the construction of the 4X track. As you will see in the photos they are making use of large ship containers to build some of the obstacles over. The containers will be dressed up for the event with banners and large format photographs for visual appeal.

You can also follow the progress of the tracks at Windham via the blog the trail builders are updating weekly.

Event information is available on Windham's race website. And continue to follow us at Derailed for more first hand news about the WC at Windham.
