USA Hopefuls at Champery

CHAMPERY, Switzerland (derailedonline.com) - This weekend is the most technical and recently famous tracks on the world cup circuit, Champery! Made famous two years ago by Sam Hill's spectacular performance in the pouring rain that drove changes to the way UCI runs the finals.

In the field of competitors competing for glory, USA has a few hopefuls that are beginning to shin through the fog of the alps. Aaron Gwin, currently 3rd in WC points, was listed as disqualified during qualifying runs. That was overturned and Gwin is now in for the finals.

In his first world cup race in his life, Neko Mullaly of Pennsylvania USA has not only made it to the big show but he has qualified for the finals in his first world cup competition. On probably the most technical course of the UCI circuit he will now compete.
